I Love the UAE

I love the UAE because I was born here on the 19th of October 1995. I love it because its warm weather in the summer and cold winters. I love its people, heritage, culture and tradition. But most importantly, the national day which is a special day in the UAE and in my life. The national day is important because it is the day when the seven Emirates united. That is why it is called the "United Arab Emirates". The UAE was born 39 years ago on the 2nd of December of 1971. I love national day because it is when all the UAE locals celebrate their traditions and their cultures. It is a moment of national pride and planning for a brighter future.

The father, the Leader and the Teacher

The national day is one of the best days in the whole year. UAE people celebrate and paint the country's flag on their cars, homes, and even their clothes. Special villages are build to bring about pictures of the past. Schools celebrate and people go out and show their love to their beloved country, the United Arab Emirates. Fire works are high in the skies and the UAE flag fill every corner. All this happiness was because of one man named Sheikh Zayed bin sultan Al Nahyan, the father, the leader and the teacher. He created with the help of his brothers from other Emirates a strong and a modern country.

A Letter to Sheikh Zayed

Dear Sheikh Zayed

I am writing this to thank you for all what you have done. Not only did you help the UAE people, but the whole mankind. Whenever there was poverty or a disaster I saw a sign of your hand stretched with aid and support. I am proud of what you did and I am proud of who I am. An Emirati who loves his country. To you and to Sheikh Khalifa we will always be grateful. I wish I had lived with you when you were building our nation. I am sure that you are so proud now of the country you made and the people you taught.

From your Loving people

UAE is the Best Country

On the 2nd of December 39 years ago, the UAE was born. Sheikh Zayed united Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, Fujairah, Ajman and Um-Al Qiwin in one country called the United arab Emirates. Every year we celebrate this day. Year after year the UAE becomes stronger and more technologically advanced. UAE students are graduating from top universities all over the world. One always celebrates national day by lighting their houses and decorating their cars. Children paint their faces and wear designed clothes. Songs of national pride are played in the middle of waves of flags. Everyone seems to be happy and full of national pride. I wish that the UAE becomes the best country all over the world.

IAT Al Ain Celebrates National Day

The Institute of Applied Technology in Al Ain celebrates national day every year. It is time for many of us to remember how our rulers have worked hard to build our nation.  Students usually come in their national dress and celebrate together with their teachers and parents the great occasion. This year our celebration is both fun and learning. Every student has to make a goal for next national day. This is our way of showing our gratitude to Sheikh Zayed who believed that building the UAE citizens is more important than anything else.

Long Live the United Arab Emirates

The national day is the day the dream of the UAE has become true. On december 2nd, Sheikh Zayed met with other sheikhs to create the United Arab Emirates. At this time every year we celebrate national day. For me this is the best time of the year when all UAE citizens come together and celebrate. I am honored to be Emarati. It is a time of us to get together and remember the past with all its ups and downs. Girls and boys raise the UAE flags and sing national songs. I am so lucky to be a UAE citizen. Long live my country, Long live the United Arab Emirates.

The Beauty of the UAE

The garden City or Al Ain is the place where Sheikh Zayed was born. It was called the garden city because it is so green. During national day celebrations, Al Ain becomes even more beautiful. Palm trees are sparkling with light and it is just fantastic. As I was walking yesterday and I saw a portrait for Sheikh Zayed, I looked up and my eyes were full of tears. I asked the driver to stop the car and I went down to admire Al Ain beauty. Al Ain was once an Oasis in the middle of the desert but now it is a modern city full of light and life. I felt that I have joined IAT for a reason. UAE needs local engineers to continue what Sheikh Zayed has started.

I am proud to be Emirati

Education in the past was simple and basic. It was about how to read the Quran and how to write it. The Muttawaa, some sort of a religious man, was their only teacher in the mosque. Education now has developed very quickly and the number of students increased rapidly. If you are a boy or a girl, old or young you have to get some kind of education. There are many schools and universities and all have been made free. The National day at the IAT is a time to remember our great leader Sheikh Zayed who created a modern strong country. From the Muttawa's class to laptop for every student in less than 40 years, I am proud to be Emirati.
